Hm… Is Scrufflebeck shedding seeds so it can grow to little Scrufflebecks and it will be an army of plant puppies? And Nice guess.

So that is a machine city
@Shade Person
I think they were leaves, meaning that they won’t spawn into anything
@sh4d0wfl4re has it right in my opinion
I dunno what will happen

hopefully hes not like losing his form since he’s using energy or something like that, plus were not sure if this form is permanent or not so here’s hoping he’s just leaving a trail or something like. But when Doc told him not to be nervous was he shaking a little then? If so it could his new body isn’t stable since he did take out a machine by himself.

“No need (be) to nervous, big guy. I’ll protect you.”
You might wanna fix that ^-^’

… Does the doctor really think it’ll be that easy? He sure is cocky, lol.

@SevyTehSavvy

Actually I think it should be “No need to (be) nervous, big guy.”

Really?! Yell Greybane and hope he responds!?!
This mission is lost… Wait… It was lost the moment the doctor decided to be in it… No… Even before that!

Anyways… It would seem that either Scrufflebeck’s just molting, or lossing the mutant-gene he absorbed before… Most probably, the second…

im gonna say current plot irrelevance to scrufflebacks condition

I’d guess Scrufflebeck is getting old or having a lack of water or something. To put it simply, Scrufflebeck is dying.

Hey Joe, great episode! His plan seems.. like a rather odd one ahah. Cant wait to see it. I don’t want Scrufflebeck to die D:. Oh ya. You called the episode “Rescue Plan”, but in the description you called it “Battle Plan”. just wanted to point that out :P. Keep up the amazing work!

Well.. wolfs and dogs lose the weak fur just to regrow a stronger one,so why plant-monster-mutant-wolfs do not do it,too?
@Neo Welcome on the group of comments!
@Joe Can next episode PLEASE be about Joe and Samuel? I want to know if they’re alive or dead. Though it is strange that while someone does actions, the other people take coffee together, might it be zombies and humans, zombpires and Joe.. because I’m sure it’s a stalemate in Joe/Samuel/InnerJoe’s mind. ( For semplicity’s sake,I’m saying “Joe” only. Now that I think of it,there was no reason to say Joe/Samuel/InnerJoe.. oh well. )

my guess would be scrufflebecks transformation maybe wasnt permanent. if he cant keep up his new form over an extended period of time, the universal laws of drama demand, that hell shed his skin and loose his new power at the worst possible moment.

on the other hand, that little guy is smarter than he looks. maybe he did this on purpose and has a plan of his own.

Wow…
Yup. I’m dumb.
Not sure what happened there. ^-^’

And if that fails, you can always just get the Big Lebowski to help you bust out, though you’ll likely have to fight his evil twin.
(Am I the only one who got Tron vibes from that city?)

Ok, it took a little over a week, but I’m finally caught up after starting from the beginning!

This is a great story Joe, and the fact that you update so regularly is pretty amazing.
Can’t wait to find out what happens next!

BTW, I don’t suggest reading this and playing Minecraft in between… going down in the caves, I’m a little more freaked out than usual! ;-D

I know what I want as a present. Kill the f*****g doctor. I hate him. I HATE him ok ? I’ll make a voodoo doll to kill him fast and in a painful way ! Ô_Ô

@Dairadh Normally I would agree with that “method”, I actually do agree with it, but nonetheless killing him, especially in a painful way, might end scrufflubeck, perhaps because of attracted attention when Dr. Herp-a-Derp screams from agonizing pain. Don’t mistake me I’m all for killing in the most brutal, gory, and painful way but it’ll just attract unwanted attention, what’s more I believe he is still vital to the story and colony that can perform surgeries and other much needed doctor-like activities only Dr. Herp-a-Derp can fulfill. I rest my case, and now for waffles (>*_*)># *munch much*

@most people here why do you still hate this ‘Dr. Herp-a-Derp’?
He is trying (and yes failing) to make up for his failings.
He is mentally sick due to losing his purpose. (and yes that does happen even in irl)
He is going to get better, or die trying.
His actions will get Greybane saved a bit sooner.
You can’t have every character in a popcalypse be strong
and book smarts have a way of disappearing in the face of death.
When one comes back from the brink they become stronger.
Nick needed a source of strength,
why do you hate him for struggling to gain one?

sh4d0wfl4re

And no I did not like him saying incinerate the body when joe ‘died’.
Covering up your failings doesn’t solve anything.
Going out into the wilds (even/especially unprepared) does solve yourself.

NeoWarrior

sh4d0wfl4re-> I do not believe anyone actually hates him… Everyone is just annoyed with how completely useless and ignorant he is under pressure… As well as the fact that he cannot accept that he is not combat-worthy… Also, he didn’t want to save Joe and practically left him to die… Furthermore, he got into a fight with Jess, called Scrufflebeck useless, then accepted him only when he saved his life, now he complements him while still stating his superiority over him…

YeAh, We DoN’t HaTe HiM!

He’s lost and lashing out; you should ‘pity the fool,’ not hate the him.
I’ve ranted enough to clear my mind of this for now. (for now)

It’s simple, I don’t like his personnality, his whole character. I just don’t have any interest in him. I want him dead so that I’ll see the other characters. That’s all. :)

Sometimes, you don’t like peoples for no special reason other than them being displeasing for you. He is for me.

@Jordan, you’re right. :D We could still use him, gwahaha…

bobsickle

@Jordan I am sure that there has to be other doctors there, no way could one man manage an entire colonies healthcare. Everything from the sniffles to exploding kneecaps to treat and so little time. I never liked Dr Herpyderp but Scrufflebeck seems to think he is ok(Or at least better alive) so I guess his death can be postponed untill he rescues cooler characters.
