My family and I are leaving Japan for good next month. We’re moving back Canada to open up the next chapter of our lives. It’s starting to sink in that we’re leaving this beautiful country but I’m also excited to be finally moving back home – where our families are and where our citizenship lies :D Time to make the most of the rest of our time here!
Another reminder! If you funded the The Pocalypse Defense 2 campaign, I sent you an e-mail with some questions for you to answer. Please respond as soon as you can :D I’ll be making the campaign celebration scene when everyone has responded!
Enjoy Scene 14 – “The Immortal Brain – Part Four”!
You can follow The Pocalypse on Facebook, Twitter and RSS!
I’m going to try working on voting incentives again! In the meantime, please vote for The Pocalypse here everyday! Let’s climb back up the list! :D (Joe’s “Hope” poster is the current incentive.)
Two mistakes:
“Eleven? Weren’t there sixteen?” I believe you messed up with the speech sprite.
and
“Your father and I were finished Project Sixteen.”
Few fixes:
When the comic goes into the place with the ‘living shells’, Sam starts talking too soon, before the transition and the text shows up too soon.. then the texts goes dark (as it’s transitioning before re-appearing)
Few panels later, when it says ‘Eleven? Weren’t there sixteen?’, it appears as Sam’s mutant face on the text, but I don’t think he was the one who said it.. most likely Bernie :P
Great episode!
A small glitch creator Joe, when the ‘army’ get’s infected, its the mutant guy that says ‘Weren’t there sixteen?’ instead of Burnie or Joe
OOOOOOOO so that’s what happened. But now that means there are 7 shells still somewhere in the pocalypse world… Joe you evil genius you. :D
i wonder what Dominik is going to pull? he’s probably going to force Joe to turn over Samuel.
Yarp, I seen that error too! :3 Is there supposed to not be any sounds in this one? o.o
Um… there still is ‘inner joe’ to take care of… i wonder how samuel will react to IJ…
Victor’s alive. Callin’ it.
hooray for Samuel. Joe is now getting his powers back but we need to know about this “inner joe”
@Vyrien I’d take it one step further. I’m calling it, that Inner Joe IS Victor. Has he ever been truly “defeated”? That one time where he got sealed, was only because he had internal and external mental problems to deal with at the same time. Not to mention the seal seems to be breaking already, after such a short period of time.
Is Sam suppossed give his own question to answer? He says “eleven weren’t there sixteen?” And then answers it.
Thanks for all the catches, everyone! Fixed! (I whipped through editing this one :D)
One of the girls has a bandage over one eye. And one similar vampire had an eye patch…
Maybe just maybe Victor is Inner Joe?
Wait a minute! It wasn’t a vampire! It was that religious guy’s WIFE! In other news…I KNEW it would end there, darn it! Surprised it never dawned on me that Sam could help Joe until Bernie pointed that out though. You’d think I would have thought of that before that part. Anyway, Sam looked kinda good in his original body, what with the military look and all. He looked like the kind of guy that is needed in the army. A leader. Also, why were three of the specimens in the tanks with their heads still wrapped up? Kinda stupid if you ask me. Lastly, I am going to make a “wild” (but probably wrong knowing this comic…I think XD) guess, and say the whole zombie thing was caused by that last body. If the body was screwed up, but it had the power to destroy the world, you’d think the mind, or at least some part of it (*cough* VIRUS *cough*), would have survived and caused the whole zombie thing to spread. After all, his body was mangled, and so is a zombie’s. ;) Could you by any chance email me and tell me if I’m right in anything? I very much like to know when I am right, ESPECIALLY with comics like this one that have twists to confuse the genre savvy! My email is darkninjawizard@gmail.com
dang it every single time i have to refresh the page it doesnt load DAMMIT!
Woot! The return of Powerfist! :D
I loved this episode it explains a lot and I didn’t notice the faults everyone else is pointing out, Keep up the good work Joe as a writer, Programmer and Father :D
MIGHTY POWERFIST!!!!
Wow, that’s a long episode. I’m really liking the story.
hehehe, I see where you got Ellie from, Joe. You a fan of Dead Space? I guess it works since it’s a space zombie game and this is a zombie show, so yes.
Yay, Joe! … and of course, lets not forget Joe…
INNER JOE IS VICTOR!
“Eh? What? I stopped listening a while ago.”
^Ftw.
Anyway.. Y U SO EVIL WITH CLIFFHANGER?
@Zidane
I agree with that. Victor’s body may not have survived, but his mind may have, and locked itself in the most powerful, yet most stable, possible shell, which is Joe. And considering IJ launched a super-condensed energy nuke-ball in the last Joe-iJoe-Sam encounter, it would be logical.
victor is not dead
BOOM! That’s awesome so much suspense. please give Joe his powers I hate seeing him so…pathetic..
Yeah I agree with all. Chances are victor survived and maybe his mind skipped into one of the other eight. This including Joe
So why are most of the girls heads wrapped up?
Awww it was just getting good too :/ dang I should stop reading it for awhile then I can indulge on the episodes more xD
Author Joe, you continually amaze me. I worked a ton last week, and couldn’t check on the comic, but when I checked today, I was hooked. I read scenes in the past 10 minutes and i can’t bear to think what it would be like to wait for them individually! Amazing backstory, very well worked out. Any pity I had for Dominic is slowly leaving me as we learn more about their past
Victor probably jumped to the strongest mind he could find and since the strongest was Joe that’s where he went. Since Victor couldn’t have emotions added he is in a vampire host body like state. That is the reason he comes up when Joe is under extreme emotion or stress.
