That’s military jargon/slang, It’s uncommonly used but still used, so it is correct.
Actually, it’s used in things like theatre among other things. Quite commonly.

That was a loud solid-sounding noise for a hard skin-breaking punch. What did he hit, a wooden crate? Also, I was almost surprised at the sudden blowup by evil Joe. Like I said, it was sudden, and the noise caught me off guard. Even then, I love the timing of it!

This is an accurate portrayal of what happened to me during this chapter. “Hmnn, looks good so fa- *BARK BARK* HOLY JESUS(Falls out of chair) Why does Scrufflebeck have to be so damn loud. Good chapter, poor Joe; he keeps getting hit.
OMFG!!! I NEED to know what happens next! PLEASE! Do the next update soon Joe, I can’t wait! Will the action of Sam gone well? will Andrius and Cross kill those god-lovers? Will Jess find the Doc? And what about Greybane, my favorite character? Did scrufflebeck understood jess’ orders? Also, I just knew about the serie a week ago, and deticated all last week just for it, now I finally reach the atual posts, and I can say: TOTALLY WORTH IT! YOU’R EPIC! (Any spelling mistake is because english isn’t native language)
And the machines? will they attack now? So many cliffhangers, I think i’m gonna die of exhaustion… Still, great serie, Joe (why hope when we have Joe? xD) it will continue this way.
