Sorry I didn’t make the weekly goal this time! I’ll keep trying and I won’t even consider a Patreon campaign until I can hit that goal :D
Thank you all for checking out The Monolith and for all the feedback! It’s very encouraging to see my first programming project being received so well :D More updates are coming!
As for The Pocalypse Defense 2, no news right now other than the project is still ongoing and I have to fill in more programmer gaps :D I wish I had the programming chops to do it all myself :(
In the meantime, I thank you all for your continued support and I will keep the scenes (and games made by myself) coming as fast as I can :D
Enjoy Scene 24 – “Mr. Perfect”!
You can follow The Pocalypse on Facebook, Twitter for updates!
JUST. FUCKING. WOW.
Yaaay. :D I was checking everyday for this. XD
Oh boy! Another Chapter…(Watches)…NOOOO JOOOOEEEE! Well at least Sam isn’t dead
I’m usually the guy who is pretty frustrated for a comic (or any medium) having the “Cerebus Syndrome” but I’m glad to find pieces which don’t bother me or even make it sort of better in a way. Can’t wait to see how this will turn out.
Is The Monolith still in Beta? I can’t wait for the new ages to come. Can someone also explain to me what the shards are for?
== The relationship of me and sam has increased expotentially. ==
God damn, only i can say: MORE
*Gasps* DAMMIT JOE. I THOUGHT THE POCALYPSE WAS GOING TO TAKE A NICE TURN
Well, didn’t kill them. Good start.
I love your comic but hell I’m really loosing my patience with Joe. He’s like a spoiled and selfish child who doesn’t want to acknowledge his mistakes and blames everyone else for his problems. Dear Joe when the hell are you finally going to grow up?
About the monolith whats the difference between EP and the scientists EP,what does the scientists one do it makes no sense to me at all? And yes i 2nd that question what are the shards for and that sword in the stone and the message “Our Hero Sleeps”???
I thought Joe had gone off the deep end already. Seems he’s alone in his head now, and I truly feel sorry for anything that gets in his way.
As to the constant questions on the monolith about the difference between ep and scientist ep (as far as I can tell)-the scientists generate a flat amount per scientist per second. modifiers to flat ep add to the ep generation rate. multipliers to ep generation seem to account for both research based flat upgrades and scientists for calculation. Eps from damage scale with age, and things that increase damage increase damage dealt, and thus EP generation, without changing the scientist ep generation, or the research based flat ep generation, as neither are caused by attacking. hope that helps
In the face of the one true god, we are wyrms.
@ SomeGuy – No that didnt help one bit,i went cross eyed mid way through.
this was hell great
i love the way this is going, i hope you go back to the family traveling on the boat, and the monster on the water
Looks like I came back, it was amazing to see you finally getting back to updates rolling along fast and amazing scene.
I might donate 5$ to the game…
@firani so this is what you say when Joe is finally making a comeback with his comics? If you don’t like it leave and come back when you think that it is perfect with you. Joe hasn’t been blaming anyone but himself. I get that it is upsetting how he is taking forever but he has just made a comeback.
@Niko – Thank you for the support! :D (I think Firanai was referring to comic Joe haha)
Just to be clear I’m referring to the character in the comic, not the author.
Keep doing an excellent webcomic Joe. You are doing a great job. :)
I forgot we’re back to a weekly schedule.
Monolith.
Here is How it works. Scientists Make Evolution Points a Second. (EPS) Attackers Oviously Make EP From attacking.
Good to see updates
Joe freaks me out o.o Another excellent scene Author Joe, thank you!
Love the comic. I was seriously afraid it’s dead, and I’m so glad you didn’t abandon it after all. I keep my fingers crossed for you, Joe!
Better. So much better. :> Perfect end to this week, I must say. Once again, excellent job, A.J.! It actually gave some chills… *waits patiently for next chapter* Keep it up!
I know that I’m glad to see it moving at a faster rate, and still maintain quality. Even if the mark is missed, I’m glad he’s able to at least keep up the effort!
omgomgomg, *fanboy screams*
I just went to rewatch everything from start to finish… soooo awesommmeeeeeee
Keep up the good work joe! loving it, especially the suspense, the wait somehow makes the suspense all the more thrilling(in a love/hate kind of way haha).
I’m glad so many people re-watch it and think it’s awesome, that’s somn I believe to be true, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to sit down and reread it for awhile. I don’t know why, but just can’t >.<
I seem to have that problem once webcomics reach a certain length, which bums me out. The Pocalypse has long been my favorite. I think it's one of the few good things that came out of reading Homestuck (at least I think it was an advertisement on their that led me to it)
*unnecessarily impatient fans grab their demanding whips*
WORK HARDER SWINE
And suddenly Joe died, the end.
Wtf happened to joe his body Is damn creepy.
It’s been a month since you updated joe, what happened? Im sorry if this is pressuring you.
Well I guess it’s hard to meet some goals. I always felt I should make goals that are attainable, challenging yes, but not impossible. If I miss a goal that was too difficult the let down makes it easier to give up entirely. As John Madden is fond of saying, “nothing succeeds like success”.
