Thanks to The Return to Order campaign that petitioned to cancel Good Omens on Netflix, despite being on Amazon Prime, I’ve discovered an awesome new show! Good Omens is hilarious, clever, and I love the concept behind the battle between good and evil, seen through the eyes and experiences of an angel and demon who have grown to be friends. Looking forward to reading the book, too!
Kinda made me think about angels and demons in The Pocalypse. I’ve thought about it before, even before the first scene. I came close to introducing at least demons via the vampires and their ancient rituals. But, I thought, maybe that be stepping across the line of The Pocalypse “reality”. What do you think? Do angels and/or demons have any place in our story?

Yo Joe, honestly the idea of angels and demons (or devils) could totally have a place in the story. I think that it’s up to your discretion and whether you think you would be able to work them into the narrative effectively. You’ve done really well throughout the entire story so far (I’m glad you went for a hiatus instead of churning out filler or poorly thought-out storylines) and I think that your judgement is probably best here.
…also, honestly. Victor is practically a demon already.
Aliens yes ! angel and demons … not so much but that’s just me, whatever you decide will be great ;)
Interesting. I recall a comic that Sean Boyle (http://www.darkbolt.com/) started working on about what happened after the rapture and the war between Heaven and Hell. In the aftermath, a mad scientist experimented with the bodies of the fallen soldiers from both sides and mixed the DNA of both demons and angels with humans, so I would like to see something similar.
Elder Vamps are comparable to demons already, so saying some great elders evolve to survive the sun and become demons doesn’t sound like too far of a stretch.
As for angels, Sam might be one. I know Sam isn’t strictly “good” but I’ve never considered angels to be strictly good either. Which I guess would make Joe, Victor, and the other experiments something like nephilim.
Demons kind of do make sense because Vampires I’m pretty sure had origins in demon pacts or something like that. It wouldn’t be un-fitting… But then we’d have to mess around with afterlife stuff, and uhhhh, that would get weird. I dunno if the advantages would outweigh the disadvantages.
