Well, I’m growing lemon balm plants. Maybe they’ll become monsters, though :D
I’m growing them from seeds and I’m actually excited to see them sprout in 2-3 weeks. Am I getting old and boring or are there other under-30ers out there who also enjoy a little bit of simple gardening?
Yes, apparently, a baby and and cat aren’t enough responsibility for me. Now, I have a plant to look after! :D

I’m good with the cannibal idea since it does make sense to save people he sees and earn their trust but since he’s so interested about Annika only it isn’t very likely.So i’m guessing his son is a vampire since he did not talk or show his face to anyone and his father just want’s Annika to be his food.

but vampire is a no since i have never heard of a vampire that keeps its skin colored then go pale

@ryan they were outside the grain feild when they ran into the machines, and Gregory came and saved them.
I was origionally thinking canibles, but being vampires or werewolves actually makes more sence… and that might be why zombies or other things dont mess with them… but dont think he wants Annika for food, I think he sees her as a potential mate for his son. To keep the line going.
It would also explain his obvious anger issues… Im just wondering where he got the weapon from? Stole it off some unwary traveller?
iwas thinking the same thing leviticus i going with he was a employer once in a factory were the made the robots or experimented with things and he took one of the experimental weapons but he had to kill someone to get it and he has been a shamed of it ever since and for the kid not having any social interaction with anybody but your father for years really messes you up

Ive been growing plants since I was a kid, Im 27 now and still love it just as much as I did then, There is something special about caring for plants…lol…sorry if that sounds weird, although I think with your excitement over waiting for the seedlings, you probably get what I mean ^_^… Although im sure it pales in comparison to having a child:)
Joe, if you let Bernie, or any of the other survivors get hurt, you better hide yo kids, hide yo wife….nah just kidding. I have this bad feeling somethings very wrong in that place. My first something-bad-is-gonna-happen alarm was set off by Scott, and the next was by his secretive attitude about the weapon, and the third by no one deciding to stay. I tell you, somethings very wrong with that place. Very wrong.
I’m sticking with my android theory. If not then it may be an associate of Bernie’s dad, who developed some kind of anti-zombie chemical, a force field, and some high powered EMPs. But android is more likely. The machines are setting up an act in order to take Bernie away.
He’s territorial, protective of his secrets, but has a soft spot for people who come to his house.

I think he wants to capture them all so his son can perpetuate the species while the others work at his farm… And I think the EMP is fake as well as the machines, that was just a trap to capture them. Please Joe tell me I’m wrong, if not, I won’t enjoy the next chapter of this story! =0(
I think Bernie is being a little hypocritical. Remember how he refuses to let others know the secrets of his father’s technology?
One thing though. Gregory says he and Scott go hunting for meat when they are in the mood for it. Where do you find meat in a city? Sounds to me they’ve been eating some zombie flesh. Unless they hunt other survivors and eat them, or vampires. Although Zombies sounds to me the most prolific and closest source of meat that Gregory and Scott would be able to find.
I for one though would love to know more about the history of the machines. Anyone think Bernie’s dad played a critical hand in their creation?
@pabechevb that’s actually a good idea. The only reason to get that defensive about your weapon is if you’re worried about losing it or if it’s a hoax. Personally I’m leaning more toward them being cyborgs or something and using other people for parts.
The most off putting part was when he said that “Zombies know not to fuck with me”. Zombies don’t know anything, they’re just attracted to potential food. Doesn’t matter how many or how effectively you kill them they just keep coming.
Hmm…I think his sons a vampire but since grown food isnt for him, he kills visitors for his son. OR hes a spy….for something….CIA? MI6?….

This was a good one. even there was no action. I think Gregeory is trying to set up Scott with Annika. Something tells me that there’s more than meets the eye with these two…plus Gregory scared the crap out of me. hahah.
And now Gregory has taken first place for creepiest character. My skin started crawling every time he spoke to Annika. I REALLY want them to get the hell out of there, like, NOW.

Ithink that they are people who somehow made a deal with the machines. THey turn over all the people they meet in return the machines patrol around there farm to keep all the swarms of monsters away. Also he wants to set up annika with his son scott. machines he took out are not dead course I could be completly wrong.
Well if he does kill people I have a theory as to what he uses them for, after all where can anyone in an apocalyptic world find fertilizer to help the grain field along, after all you need nutrient rich soil to grow food

@Joe-> you’re not exactly getting old… I’m 18 and my future house dreams are to live in a two stories high house with a back garden for fruits and veggies, a tank of fish in the second floor, and a white bunny or hare in the first. Of course, I also want my house decore to be dark rather than light, seeing as what colors do to the mood, but everyone considers that bit unrealistic…… People here have no consideration for those kinds of things actually…
Anyways, that new guy’s a total perv, trying to force Annika on his son… I’d guess that was his plan all along! As for his fight with Bernie… I’ll have to side with him on that one… Bernie DOES NOT share the secrets of the suits with anyone, so why should anyone share their secrets of weaponry with him?->Is what I’m thinking…
