Well, it looks like we have our first literally unwilling hero character. At least Rusty is just trying to get to safety for himself, Annika, and Nathan, but Scott is completely different! Great job, Joe, can’t wait to see more!

I just know Bernie has a badass cyber voice when he’s in Arbiter. Honestly he’s one of the most intimidating characters right now.
I’m really surprised that the vamps have that kinda hardware to deal with machines. It’s really impressive. I wonder how well they deal with mutants and plants. Probably not very good on plants considering Scrufflebeck.

Hmmmm… I guess I actually feel bad for Gregory. He was tortured and forced into the blood harvesting, and the guilt eventually turned him insane.
The only truly evil characters in this story are the vampires. The machines, plants, and zombies have no concept of good or evil (except Scufflebeck, but he’s good), the mutants are just trying to survive, and the werewolf is a hero.
Even Cross is just greedy, selfish, and histrionic, and not so much evil.
Hey, long time reader, first time comment-er, love the comic so far, everything is great,the only thing i have a problem with is that i can’t go back, sometimes my mouse double clicks the next button and it skips comments, kinda anoying since i have to watch the whole comic again just to catch like 2 lines that i missed. Please fix it so we can go back, i’m sure i’m not the only one with this problem.

Wow that was a really long and awesome one (aren’t they all? :D).It explained very much and the idea of saving greybane from the machines with EMP rocketlauncher is just epic since i like greybane alot.

I think Scott was right to call Bernie a murdering bastard since he did get angry and shot his father several times after all. Yet I think this shows that Bernie is one for humanity and doesn’t care for vampires and I think there is a reason why. He has to have a deep hatred for them, I doubt it’s just cause they attacked the colony once in the past I think there is something else.

@Zach I agree with you on most vampires being evil in the story, but the machines are doing it for the sake of science and self preservation, the mutants are just trying to survive, and the zombies aren’t evil, they just want hugs.

Hey Joe there is a typo on the first flashback panel ‘atacked’ rather than ‘attacked’ is displayed but maybe that’s just the way scott pronounces it ;-)

I’d like to take a brief moment saying that the choices we make really do have a big impact on our futures.
Think about it.
Exactly 23 panels ago, had Bernie tried to follow the machine, the chances of getting caught would have been extremely high. Thereore, everything that happened at that house might have been done without Bernie, and the three survivors would have found the “crops”. And the past scene might have played out differently.
So by not following the machine, Bernie got a weapon that not only stops the machines, but can make the machines their allies as well.
Let’s try to survive the pocalypse together.

First of all: POOR SCOTT. I CRY FOR YOU. But you have to be honest, your dad may be better off dead than insane. It sucks bigtime but it is the Pocalypse. x.x
And I can’t blame Bernie for being a hard-ass. Someone has to really. Not the kind of jerky hard-ass like greenshirt guy who only thinks of himself, but a hardass who can protect a community so humanity can keep on living.

wow i especially liked that one. sorta had a heart felt feeling to it. ya.. i felt bad for Scott but the way it was all put was amazing. i wonder though.. what is happening with Joe (in comic) and rosa..? and what of Bernies sister and the doc?
I don’t know. While I admit Gregory deserved to die, telling someone you will spare them, and then outright killing them just doesn’t sit well with me. Is it bad it is the merciless strike that bothers me and not the repeated gunshots themselves?

Before this episode came out i tryed 8 more webcomics to pass the time.
long story short i wound up refreashing the page 56 times.
Will Scott help Bernie and rescue Greybane? What will come of Joe and Rosa? And will Bernie save the colony in time? Stay tuned for next week’s premier of The Pocalypse: Chapter 4; Scene 20!
