All this Flash talk and my feeble attempt at last update’s side-scrolling abomination has inspired me to look into ActionScript much deeper than how to make a “GO!” button :D
Lucky for us, we have @hush_lorentz, who is an experienced game programmer and good friend, handing our actual games, but I’d like to learn more ActionScript to add some flair and interactivity to the comic!
Anybody know any good ActionScript 3.0 tutorial sites out there for a noob like me? I’ve been looking for a tutorial for turn-based combat using AS3, but I can’t find anything useful. Perhaps I need to work on my Google savvy, too?

Sorry for the double post, but just so you guys now, Rosa was bitten by a ZOMPIRE not a normal VAMPIRE and that VAMPIRE obviously has no ZOMBIE BLOOD in it. It’s a pure one, not a tainted one. Can’t be Rosa.

@Anon true… not to mention zompire skin also seems to be darker and more brittle with red, glowing eyes, and the skin of the vampire is pale (as it should be) and his/her eyes have noticable pupils.
We will find out… all in due time… in approximately 47:21…

Also, I think Flash has the ability to take in AS files and use their code – like, for instance, I could make up a Preloader class AS file, you attach it to a certain Clip, and it’ll do the rest.

OMG IT’S… Wait… We had this conversation just last week I believe.
IT’S NOT ROSA. If it was Rosa, that would probably be boring and expected and all that stuff. We would probably have to go into some CRAZY backstory about how some random vampire managed to steal her from the clutches of the LT (without the Lieutenant ending up the target of the vampire in the first place. Or the Lieutenant noticing the vampire and killing it. [both of which are highly unlikely]) and then the vampire would bite her as opposed to the lieutenant (Which is just silly. Come on now.)
Yes… I think I’ve written out the most sensible way for that vampire to be Rosa… was it a good read? Is it likely to happen in the story? If you look closely, you’ll see these two questions are actually the same question. *brick’d*
she can’t be Rosa because she isn’t a ZOM-pyre she’s a VAM-pyre… But I totally knew she was just a shy, little girl! XP Does she have a soul left maybe?
Who knows? Maybe the little boy’s new best friend? He might even tell Rusty she only did that to survive the same way Rusty killed the others to save them to protect the girl…
