I showed my kid some WoW cinematics, remembering how cool they were (“You are not prepared!” Remember that?). Of course, he was itching to play, understandably thinking that the gameplay would match the cinematics :D Having played it in addictively in my college days (so long, grades), I admit I was a little hesitant. Not for my son, no. For myself. What if I downloaded it and got sucked back into the world? Still, I had to see what it was like now and I wanted to show him a slice of my gaming past.
Luckily, WoW has a free trial so I snatched that and fired it up. About 15 minutes in, my son lost interest – can’t compete with Roblox, I guess :( So, I continued playing the Orc Warlock he chose. Feelings of my Undead Warlock came flooding back as I Corrupted mobs and summoned my Imp. But… it all faded. The urge to play was gone. The addiction did not take hold once again. Looks like I’m staying clean… for now. I haven’t deleted the free trial just yet…

First time commenter (very) long time reader! Is it just me, or is it sticking on the flashback panel? (“Kid you *** up”)?
I don’t know if it’s only a problem for me, but i can’t continue after bob (My memory sucks sorry if i misremembered his name) says his first line, pressing the “go!” button does nothing.
Hey, there seems to be some sort of problem when I try to go past the first text box in the flashback. It’s not progressing when I click “go!” and it seems like it should?
Same, I can’t get past the first flashback either. I click the Go button and it just turns blue.
Thank you for the catch, everyone! Can’t believe I let that slip! Fixed it :D Lemme know if it still doesn’t work for you!
I’m disliking Samuel even more with each update. He’s such a manipulative guy! Looks like he has forgotten what is to be human after all this centuries.
Still experiencing it on Firefox on mobile Joe
@suchiththa – Oh no! Try clearing your cache as your browser might still be playing the old, broken scene :D
@Joe yep, tried a different device, problem very much solved! Looking forward to seeing how this tension is diffused O.O
@Suchiththa – Awesome, glad to hear it! Thanks for the report :D
