So apparently these fidget spinner things are the new hot toy that can’t be brought to school. Back in my day it was Pogs, Pokemon cards, marbles, Game Boys, Furbys, etc, etc. I’m getting old! :D
Reading all your comments these past few updates and I just wanted to say thank you! It’s been great seeing more and more discussion as we continue to climb back into what The Pocalypse once was :D Looking forward to seeing us surpass past readership and fans!
Also, looking forward to all the spam bot comments I’m gonna get from naming this post “Fidget Spinners” :D
Enjoy Scene 46 – “Good Fortune”!

I have no words for this, this is damn extreme. Good freaking job, Joe, I can’t wait to see what happens next. I knew that dude was Victor by what he said in the last episode, or at least I thought he was, but this is really going to get extreme.
ICKY VICKYYYYY
fidget spinners are dumb. I don’t get what the fascination is all about. and I’m still in school
Goodness gracious did Smyth just give Doc a reason to repair (and upgrade) Arbiter?
Like Robert said earlier, we should rename him, Icky Vicky.
Why does he work for the machines now? So is Smyth dead-dead? Has Victor now completely taken over? I’m not exactly sure of his motives.
Also I’m sort of interested what Cross and Andrius is up to in the meanwhile.
@Cubix Well, if you remember what happened with Joe when he wasn’t in control, he was sort of locked away in his own mind, unable to get out except with exceptional effort or when Victor let him. Perhaps the same thing is happening to the real Smyth (whom you may also recall had previously been driven insane by zompirism) except without a chance to escape due to aforesaid insanity, the fact that, unlike Joe, he has no mental powers of his own, and the fact that Victor isn’t going to let him out.
As for Victor’s motives, my thought is that he’s just trying to win. Not to win against anything, just to win. And to do that, he needs to find the most powerful things around and ally with/control them. First he took over Joe, then Rosa and the Plants, and now he’s joined the Machines. He’s not really out for their benefit – he’s just out for his own self-preservation, and using a temporary symbiosis with anything and everything he can to further himself and his existence.
I agree mostly with what @Cinder said. He’s just trying to be the ultimate being. As for why he’s working for the machines, well, his consciousness finally transferred into a body too weak to resist him when he invaded Smyth via Rosa’s bite. And that piece of his consciousness was in Rosa from biting Joe. So now, Victor is just happy to have his own body — But happy enough to truly serve someone? No. He’s working… with the machines, not for them. It’s a way to get what he wants, so why not?
This gets better all the time. If The Pocalypse ever goes back into hibernation, I don’t know how I’m going to take it… Keep it up, Joe!
Hey Joe, nice that there was a whole bunch of chapters for me to catch up on. Glad you’re still at it. Still waiting on defense 2 but I’ll be happy with more chapters :D.
Counting the days until the next episode, THE WAIT IS TOO LONG WITH THIS CLIFFHANGER!!!
Just one more day…
Oh and BTW, I just rewatched the whole series. Margaret, the lady on the boat with Andrius and Cross is one of the experiments. If you watch the episode where they talk about all the experiments they created, one of them was a woman missing her right eye. Margaret is missing her right eye. Also Greybane and friends are likely going to meet that at Brookfield and shit will go down. What I can’t seem to find though is wtf Doc found in that suit… Also, if Margaret is one of the experiments, then she must be powerful enough for Samuel’s mind to take over… Let’s see what happens!
