That would probably mean the end of the world, ultimately. Think about how screwed up Joe is at the moment. Now, try giving MORE power to someone with less control who cares less about consequences. A lot would be destroyed just trying to put the kid in time out :P

I really hope that things start to turn for the better as they are discussing. Jake out of the way for a little while, strange non-human allies settling in, some actual cooperative planning between humans and those creatures… But then of course, stories are better when they aren’t just positive all the way, but the thing about humans is that they learn and adapt; seeing some coexistance, little by little, is a way to do that.
