so lets see its gonna be Free For Fall
i wanna said Free for All* :p
doc has a point – a few leafy upgrades could improve humanity. can´t blame the average joe blow for freaking out at the thought though ;-)
@Peya Luna – But I think Doc is a bit delusional, and let’s his excitement of the possibilities blind his inner scientist. He wants quick, radical changes without proper experiments or the scientific method which could lead to massive catastrophes as well.
BTW, Scott is still running around somewhere. I wonder when he gets into the picture. :D
#351 at 173 votes! It’s so encouraging to see the number of fans you still have behind you. I think your timing was very good. You started to update regularly once again, and made sure you could keep up the schedule, then you open up TWC voting again. I for one will vote as many times as I can — I believe the limit is 3 times per month, per IP. So if you go to work and/or school and there’s open wifi there, get your three votes in on three separate days, and you’ll have maybe 9 votes submitted. We can do it!
Hey Joe! Thank you so much for adapting the comic to html5, I’m so happy that I can watch the new scenes on my phone instead of having to turn on my PC every time. Nice work with the weekly update, I knew that you’d do it someday!! I never lost hope on you. Also, the scenes are still kinda slow and a little buggy when watching on a phone, but that’s no major problem, I’m sure that will be fixed sometime in the future.
To be frank, I’m kind of surprised that a site like Top Web Comics is still relevant. I mean it looks like an artifact from the early 2000s.
And aside from the terrible layout, it feels like it’s not actually a good site for discovering webcomics but put them through a “dogfight” to see which one has the most fans, and it will get to circlejerk in the top 100.^
I mean sure, you have to promote yourself somehow and I also wish for this comic to become more popular, but still, that site seems kind of bad for this.
^ (And “Waffles and Pancakes” is in the Top 100? Seriously?! That comic is such a regurgitated trash. The author seems to just watched too many Parks and Recreation, took out Andy Dwyer & April Ludgate and made a comic out of it. It has zero originality and it gets to be in the Top 100. Yeah, I think that should tell enough about Top Web Comics.)
Thanks for the new schedual Joe! It is fun being able to see a a new comicalmost every week, and I am sure that everyone still loves every new scene. I have to say with what has already happened won’t the colony eventualy be able to study machince tech with all the machines they have been fighting?
@Znaxy – It is encouraging! :D Thank you so much for all your votes and support! You can actually vote once every 24 hours!
@Tio Ba – I’m happy you’re happy! :D Can you tell me what kind of bugs you’re seeing on your phone? You can send me an email with any details you wanna share :D
@Dave – I agree that TWC isn’t really the best avenue for acquiring new readers. Back in the day, I think we made to the Top 100 and the traffic we got from it wasn’t too significant compared to, say, advertising on other successful webcomic’s pages. I ended up taking down links to TWC at The Pocalypse’s peak since I didn’t see any benefit anymore. And, you’re right, The Pocalypse does make me feel like an outcast in the sea of the more traditional webcomics out there. But, now that I’m trying to build the site back up, I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to try it out again. I do remember comments like “Found you through TWC!” and those readers wouldn’t exist without all your votes :D That being said, I’m not going to focus so much on TWC vote-getting this time around – I used to make incentive images that did take up a decent amount of time and effort. Now, all the focus will be on scene-making and continuing to build myself up to be able to give more and more time to The Pocalypse!
