What an Eventful Week! | November 9, 2020

by Joe

Well, that was something, USA! The election felt like a basketball game, down to the 4th quarter that lasted 3 days, with timeouts seemingly every hour. I’ve never streamed a news channel on YouTube for so long. Glad it’s all over, because the winner is who I would’ve voted for if I lived in the States of course, but also because I can take a break from all media now :D I’m gonna do a no-devices, no-video-games challenge for a while and get my brain back to a normal, non-addicted state. Wish me luck!

Enjoy Scene 19 – “Bigger Guns”! Shoutout and thanks to test_sound for the stomping sound!

Man, isn’t it inconvenient when your latest OS machine sentry forgets to hit you with a notification about that tripwire explosive… Unless…?

Woah, new mutants! They look awesome Joe!

But man, that must be some really tough hide or something for a laser to bounce off it. I wonder if the machine presence during the apocalypse has led to some kind of natural selection, with environmental stresses leaving only certain mutants to survive and eventually create that monstrosity.

@ShiftyOne Of Course they had to be New Mutants, since that movie is still on theaters! -_o *wink*

I still have so many questions regarding mutants:
– Are they the evolution of humans or other creatures too?

– What causes that mutation? Evolution? Nuclear War? Aliens? (both hands in front of me, like measuring a fish)

– Do they have a working “society” like machines and humans or do they have hives?

@Joe Kudos to you sir, for keeping us in the dark regarding some factions and still bring something new to this amazing story.

@Rammistain
There isn’t much I remember about mutant origins, but it seems at least some were formerly human. Though is the mutant a species designation, or an all round term?

Here’s a link to the wiki on a mutant whose name I remembered

I love how mutants have been “You’re rarely going to see any, and hopefully never going to directly cross paths with any, but if you’re not a fortified city, a tank or a superhuman, you’re f*ked”. This does build them up to actually be dangerous, by depriving us of information about them. All we know is that they seem driven by violence or cannibalism, their skin is extremely tough and they are physically very strong. I suppose this will allow us to lift our suspicions from other threats so they can shock us once more…
